Have you heard of a Skybouncer trampoline and wondered what it is? Or perhaps
you’ve seen them before but don’t really know what is so great about them. The
best thing about having your own skybouncer trampoline is that you can jump
really high. They aren’t cheap so it took me and my friends awhile to save up
for ours. For awhile there it seemed to dominate our conversations when we got
together, we were that excited about it and couldn’t wait for it to finally
arrive!
What’s so great about it? Well, apart from being able to soar up into the
air, it has lots of features we really like - it even has a safety net, just in
case we fall or bounce off, and padding so that the trampoline springs aren’t
exposed, and its round which seems to make more sense somehow than a rectangular
shaped trampoline.
How We Saved Up for The Skybouncer Trampoline.
Our budget was really tight but my friends and I had decided that we needed
more exercise. Too many chips, not enough fruit was the way my mom put it. Now
we weren’t about to upend our diet so instead we made a list of fun things to do
to get fit. At the very top of the list was a sky bouncer trampoline. Mom
thought it was a great idea too because she knows that bouncing is good for you
as she regularly does mini trampoline exercises as her work out.
One of my friends, Petra, wanted one so much that she worked out a budget we
could all follow in order to save up for one. It took a few months, but finally
we were able to pool our savings together to come up with the money. Then we had
to decide who was going to keep it at their place.
Where We Put Our Skybouncer Trampoline.
My friends and I got together to work out who should be the caretaker. We all
decided it was best to keep it at my house, because I have a really big backyard
and my house was equally between all my friends’ houses, so it is easy for
everyone to get to.
Tony picked up the sky bouncer trampoline on Friday. Julie, Petra, Tony, and
I got together on Sunday to start assembling it. We wanted to set it up on
Saturday, but it was raining. When we were finished putting it together on
Sunday it started to rain, so we ran inside and had some hot chocolate and
played games. When it got late, we decided to go home in time for dinner and
when we looked outside we all started laughing.
Who Was the First to Use Our New Skybouncer Trampoline?
Tony was the first to use our skybouncer trampoline, his reward for picking
it up from the shop. Well after the squirrel that is! When the guys came over
and we had to go inside because of the rain, we were talking about who was going
to use it and happened to glance outside. We saw a squirrel climbing up the
netting and jumping down on the trampoline. We laughed so hard our sides hurt.
We knew he was just trying to get out, but it was so funny to see him using our
trampoline. We stood in the light, misty rain for a few minutes and watched him
figure out how to get off the trampoline, making sure he didn’t get stuck in the
trampoline springs, and far away from us.
Finally, on the Monday night we got together and jumped on our skybouncer
trampoline. It was great fun. I’d recommend it to anyone (if you can't get a
skybouncer, a leisure kingdom trampoline is also really good, that was our
second choice)
What I like about it, apart from soaring through the air in between each
bounce, is that it is a great social thing to do. I’ve seen more of my friends
in the last month than I have all year. And we’re exercising at the same time. I
never thought working out on our sky bouncer trampoline (if you could really
call laughing and bouncing working out?) could be so much fun. We’ve been
playing around with the sprinkler too which is great on these hot evenings.
